Parking and Transportation Services Employee

"This is an awful place to work! Cashier III is a high stress job, and upper management was terrible. Lower management was okay. I should have known I was in trouble when I was told in the initial training "We used to send cashiers out without any training. Now, the department is trying to provide some training before we send people out." The training that was provided for the job was inadequate and I was left to learn most of the job functions on-the-job. I was fired 4 months into a 6 month probationary period. When I was let go, the department put a black mark on my record to keep me from getting another job, and the department tried to block me from getting unemployment. All I did to those people was TRY to work for them! I did not deserve such vengeful treatment. This is how upper management is in the PTS department. BTW, I previously worked for a different department at UT for 10 years. My biggest regret is that I ever applied to PTS in the first place!"
