"You are your own boss for the most part. You come to work and work your own sales."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Just be ready to answer tough questions as to how to overcome objections, and be able to look them in the eye. The people you interview with have been doing sales for a long time and can tell if you're not confident."
What don't you like about working at Palmen Motors?
"No benefits, you are provided healthcare, but its well above market average cost. You are provided 401k but there is no match. You get vacation time, but thats after a year of working with the company -- and you don't make any money for that week you're gone. There are no benefits. You could say you get healthcare, but 220+$ for single coverage is about the same as me buying it on my own."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There is no training program at all, everyone gets dropped into selling with an extremely short training pay period. Every manager has their own input as to how to sell cars, but there is no focused training path."
