CE/IDE is by far the most active and important role at EMC, however it is surprising that such a critical customer facing role is slowly having its capabilities diminished by a continued leeching of adequate support resources and labs overseas, and a complete disregard for advanced training and promoting of talented senior CEs and IDEs to regional Field Support Specialist positions, which are the more immediate remnants of the older field supporting model.
