What do you like about working at Pacific Institute?
"Except for my department I would say that the general environment was collegiate and even though people did worked hard it seemed a reasonably pleasant place to work."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"All offices have some issues. And your experience may be different than mine. Go in with your eyes open and just like any position if you sense that the new position may not be a good have alternatives ready and be ready to talk to your co-workers and management about issues."
What don't you like about working at Pacific Institute?
"I had some significant 'style issues' with my direct management and was glad to leave."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be aware of 'style issues' and difficult employees. One difficult employee causes the company of a lot of harm internally that goes beyond inter personal relations. Management of the situation that I was in could have been handled much more effectively. My humble opinion is that anyone who is that difficult with other employees and customers at a minimum should be immediately removed from direct contact (office in a warehouse). <-- I worked in a company that did exactly that for an employee who was good at her work but was a problem manager. She was fine once they removed her from direct contact with other employees."
