"PACCAR is a very good place to work. There are te usual issues of any large company. Get to know who the real movers and shakers are and get on their team."

What don't you like about working at PACCAR?

"Many projects are defunded mid-way through without changing the expected out come of the project. We cut your budget in half but we still demand that you give us everything you promesed. This happens enough frequency to cause concern."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"admit mistakes when they are made and learn from them even by you....."

What do you like about working at PACCAR?

"New wiring schematics in Pro-Engineer, ECN's and ECO's for the new T680 truck."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I was a short term contract assignment, I knew my termination date when I was hired in."

What don't you like about working at PACCAR?

"To far from home had to drive 130 miles round trip."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"PACCAR has mad a profit every year for the last 25 years. The CEO must be doing something right."

"PACCAR is a fortune 130 company, with more than 80 years of profitability. They claim to be a technology company but are truly a close follower. They design and manufacture medium and heavy duty commercial vehicles which is a conservative product space with slow technology changes. The company is very fiscally and socially conservative but has recently started to embrace diversity."

"I worked for PACCAR Parts from July 2018 until May 2020. PACCAR is a very reputable company with a very long history. Its 2 U.S. subdivisions, Kenworth and Peterbilt, are among the highest ranked manufacturers of semi trucks in the world. The aftermarket division, PACCAR Parts, has an established reputation for providing world class replacement parts and service to dealers and drivers to ensure the continued and uninterrupted success on the road."

"Paccar has several divisions and too many ERP systems. Most are managed in react to emergencies manner. The division I worked for had a good handle on how to manage EDI more proactively. They are having problems implementing SAP to the others divisions and struggle getting EDI implemented."

"I liked some of my co-workers, there was an element of shared suffering."

"Don't bother, find something else. But if you can't find something else. Get in and get out as quickly as possible."

What don't you like about working at PACCAR?

"They don't know how to do anything without a set of strictly adhered to procedures. The pay, vacation, sick time policies were all sub-par compared to other local companies. Turn-over is also incredibly high, for obvious reasons."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Update sick time policy, dress code, vacation policies and overall climate of micro-management."

"Not much really. Horrible CEO, VERY old school and conservative"

"Horrible benefits, old school environment, poor pay. What else is there"

"Get rid of the CEO and restructure the corporate culture"

"Company focus is profitability, not being profitable through operational efficiency.Culture is style over substance. Therefore people get promoted by looking good, not understand how the operation works.As a result, goals a vague, impossible to achieve, but non-managers are held to them.Management direction is top down and will not accept lower employee's know more than Sr. Leaders.Very difficult place to work if not a long term career PACCAR employee."
