Outdoorsy Employee

"I am upper-level management. I handle problems all day and have great relationships with most of my direct reports and many friends in the company. The problem is my direct boss and PTO. My boss is ex-army and acts like he is still in the army which is not right for a rec-tech company. I was only able to take 7 days off last year even though we have "unlimited PTO". Also, my boss only talks to me when I have made a mistake which is maybe once a month. Just bad management and everyone is leaving."

Outdoorsy Employee

"I have always enjoyed my time at Outdoorsy, I am very passionate about the company and the mission, the industry has changed my life positively. With that being said I miss being on a team and having an in-person company culture, I am remote currently and I don't want to live in TX b/c I am, well, "Outdoorsy" and there is barely any public land in TX to hike, bike, camp etc. Work to live or live to work? Outdoorsy has a great company culture with a focused executive team that you feel confident in. Great company."

Senior Engineer

"Honestly just an extremely poorly managed development culture. Day 1 you are given no guidance as to the codebase, how to do your job, or your expectations, and it doesn't change long term."
