"Antiquated technology, and processes. Lots of hoops to jump through and time required to change processes. Many people very resistant to change. Many people protecting their job by not allowing simple tasks to be standardized, and/or updated. Politics are big here, and nothing changes without lots of arm twisting."

"I worked for Carmen at OSU for several years. If you don't mind working in a windowless cinder-block office, it's not so bad. However, even though you're physically about 40 feet away from the Carmen developers, there are multiple cinder-block walls that separate you from the web developers and the other Carmen staff. The work environment feels isolated. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful."

"I worked for OSU as a student employee from 2008-2012. I found that there were of opportunities to learn new things, and to develop your professional skills. It's a large university with a vast amount of expertise, but unifying all departments under the same roof, or cause, is very ambitious. It's largeness a double-edged sword."
