"Senior leadership is out of touch with what’s happening in the units and unable to keep the staff from leaving. Big bonuses to senior leadership, but cannot keep up salaries to reward staff for hard work. Keep praising each other, senior leaders! There is a disconnect with the reality of what the staff is experiencing, what is needed to do their work, and the ability of senior leaders to put front-line staff and their work as a priority. People get promoted from within by favoritism and how long they have been with the organization not because of their ability or skills. Things won’t change until they get a whole new leadership team. The same people looking at things the same way will continue to bring the organization down and keep staff turned off and turning over"
"I worked for Orlando/Health as a Systems Administrator/Consultant via Kforce. The experience overall was favorable as the position was designed to assist with trouble tickets impacting a host technical applications to enable team members to resolve project issues. Management did an exceptional job in leadership of my assigned tasks enabling me to work on Linux tasks as well."
"Working for orlando health was a good experience with a work/home life balance. The training left you unprepared to really tackle the job though. Team members would leave themselves unready to avoid calls or always say "Not available" if someone called back for them."
"I have worked for Orlando Health since 2015: they have a very strong ethical values. From my perspective the work and personal balance is good but it could be better. Same opinion for the compensation package which they have improved over the last 3 years but still needs more improvements. They need to improve the monetary compensations to go aligned with the cost of living in FL. Overall is a great company and offers the best health care in central FL."
"It's a company that cares about its employees"
"Orlando Health is a great place to work and use data to save patient lives. Being a level 3 hospital, there are a multitude of opportunities to prove that one is able to work under pressure and think quickly on their feet. I have learned a lot of life and professional lessons during my time at this organization."
"Decent but no real culture for technology. Good for developers who like Dev Ops, but not good for developers who like building software."
"Orlando Health is currently going through a lot of changes and has left many people displaced or having to change their current roles to better suit the needs of the company and not the individuals that make up the company. The overall organization is a good place to work if you need entry level experience in healthcare."
