"Be prepared, Get a guarantee for salary unless you are going into a store that is turning a profit. Base salary plus 5% of sales only equals 33K if store has sales of 140k +."

What don't you like about working at O'Reilly Auto Parts?

"For a company that speaks of family and team , had no compassion when my father was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. would not let me take time off without pay to visit him. Upper management would say there are problems but would give no solutions. When transferred to another store the fact that I took a store that never made a profit in 2 years and made money only after 3 months, and made profit every month since, not given the time or support to try to turn new store around ."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Need to understand that out in the field things don't always go as planned up in corporate offices. They cut payroll at times where I was only person in store for the first hour the store was open, even tho the company policy was to have 2 people in store at all times. Loss prevention people took 3 weeks to take care of internal theft problem, employee actually quit day before they finally showed up."

"working all day and being on-call on night"

"Pay your employee's what thay are worth"

"You can’t expect professionalism in a job setting where employees are expendable. I received Min wage as a delivery driver and was required to purchase expensive work shirts and other clothing to meet their strict dress code. Experienced an unfriendly and hostile coworker. Very little training."

"This company started off very well when it was a small company, when it grew it became political, people put into positions they should not have been."

"Don't go there they will use you then get rid of you. this company has a 80% turnover."

What don't you like about working at O'Reilly Auto Parts?

"Overworked, underpaid, management style is intimation and threating. Management does not care for there team members. Management sleeps there way to the top."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of your DC managers and start restructing the company where the team mebers have a say so or there will be a union"

"Worked in IT Support for a couple of years. Much longer than average for that department. Always had positive reviews on my performance, and was able to grind through the fact that the job was soul-killing. Looking back, they paid extremely poorly, and the supervisors' main concern was making sure 99% of your day was spent on phone calls, solving the same issues over and over, WHILE also helping users via online chat (Chats and phone calls at the same time, this was new in 2021 and made the job so much worse). Very little opportunity to advance from IT Support. I completed 2 degrees in my time there (which they denied reimbursement for), and STILL did not have an opportunity to get in a better department (and trust me, I applied for every opening in other departments as soon as I graduated.) Now that I have seen what a decent company is like, I would not advise any person to work for the corporate office, especially entry-level IT."

"Would not recommend working here. There is no flexibility allowed on productivity. The warehouse manager is very arrogant and treats everyone as if they have no brains including his lower management team. The only way to get promoted is to be a yes man. Turnover is high because of the deception when they hire you."

"Not a great place to work, for me anyway. Manager and DM not easy to get along with and they set people up to fail. Customers were the only good part of the job."

"be prepared to work 60 hour weeks on and off the job in order to be promoted."

"little room for career advancement and I see little real world chane by working retail. also low compensation."

"better training for store managers. I would also increase compensation for everyone."

"Do not expect this job to pay your bills unless you have a second income or climb to a store manager or elevated position."

"Upper management constantly micro-manages and looks for ways to cut costs, mostly by screwing the people that do the work."

"Meaningful training for employees, merit based pay rates, minimize micro-management."
