"This company is stuck in 2003. Companies down the street are paying 30% more for the same job and companies in KC, STL and Arkansas are paying 50% for the same position, but the cost of living in minimally higher. Employee Retention, would be a fantastic definition to look up and implement because cutting raises in half, cutting 2 of the 4 healthcare options and completely changing the 401k all in the same year are not good ways to motivate employees."

"My co-workers were awesome and caring people. Great Folks! Management was poor!"

"Be prepared to be frustrated if you what your ideas used or even thought about!"

What don't you like about working at O'Reilly Auto Parts?

"The management is stuck in the dark ages and doesn't have the middle management to harvest new ideas for implementation."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They need to worry about the present and not the past so much!"

"My experience with O'Reilly's has been mixed. Supervisors have generally been nice and understanding, but other team members are a different story, Constantly criticized for the smallest mistake and being tracked down to the minute every single day, by people who are not even above you in the chain of command. I'm not sure if other departments are like this but this one certainly is."

"Development teams are hindered by aging technology and a lack of senior staff. Those that are seniors are usually too busy to guide others. Department leadership does the best they can but corporate leadership has overly aggressive cost control measures in place. Many projects seem redundant."

"They are family focused and the work that I do is interesting."

"Great starting off point, but there are not a ton of opportunities for advancement. But a few years will look great on your resume."

What don't you like about working at O'Reilly Auto Parts?

"They have trouble only judging people on their work life and not things that are unrelated to work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of the favoritism that is running ramped at O'Reilly. It feels like high school with the who is hanging out with who game."

"Worked in IT Support for a couple of years. Much longer than average for that department. Always had positive reviews on my performance, and was able to grind through the fact that the job was soul-killing. Looking back, they paid extremely poorly, and the supervisors' main concern was making sure 99% of your day was spent on phone calls, solving the same issues over and over, WHILE also helping users via online chat (Chats and phone calls at the same time, this was new in 2021 and made the job so much worse). Very little opportunity to advance from IT Support. I completed 2 degrees in my time there (which they denied reimbursement for), and STILL did not have an opportunity to get in a better department (and trust me, I applied for every opening in other departments as soon as I graduated.) Now that I have seen what a decent company is like, I would not advise any person to work for the corporate office, especially entry-level IT."
