"The pay at Orangetheory Fitness is minimum wage which is decent for the work we do. I wish the commission was bit more for the memberships we sell because as a sales associate we are the driving force and creates new joins and retains members to come back to the fitness studio. It is a boutique fitness center, the price for the memberships is a bit pricey but for the workout plan and motivation that comes along with the fitness product is worth it."

"Salary is very low, not what I was promised upon hiring - in fact about 10k less than what was promised. They get away with it because even though it's proposed upon hiring that you will be salary, the gig is actually part-time with a pay-tier per head on coaching. The breakdown of the pay never makes sense and there is virtually no way to add it up on your own to check the accuracy. The franchise owners get away with so much that they shouldn't and they don't care to pay you more. They will just change around your hours with 0 notice, cut your hours, give away your classes, without any warning. If you mess up and have a probationary period to prove yourself, they don't honor it and they'll give away your classes anyway. The marketing director position comes with no additional pay even though at other companies it is a board-level position. They have no benefits, no vacation or paid time off, no sick days, terrible healthcare that is very expensive. Look for employment elsewhere."

"The pay at Orangetheory Fitness downtown Indy is not competitive to what other studios outside the franchise pay. After two and a half years at the same position I have only received one dollar pay increase. It is a commission based position that helps but the sales that are promoted make it very difficult to make more than $100 in commission. A lot of the task that I do are done on my own time without pay."
