What do you like about working at Orange?

"Overall Orange Business Services is a fine place to work, probably the best in its market. Certainly the worker bee staff are incredible and top management has vision and talent."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Just the basic common sense advice: be honest, admit what you DON'T know, and understand that a company this large is impossible to navigate from the outside. Ask probing questions to understand fully both the requirements of the jobs as well as the managerial style of the hiring manager - as this varies greatly."

What don't you like about working at Orange?

"As with most large companies, the direction and vision from CEO and top executive leadership gets lost in translation by mid/sr management due to self-imposed politics, largely due to perceived job security and a lack of overall managerial standards. This scenario only serves to minimize the efforts of the staff doing the work, and leads to poor morale and eventual customer impacting scenarios in almost all aspects: account management, service delivery, operations, and billing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Standards of management continue to lack, despite costly efforts. Steps should be taken to further reduce managerial levels. Customers continue to be confused by the revolving Heads/Directors/VPs attending meetings with the actual workers on the accounts. Review your managerial ranks and please (finally) implement a standard across the regions. It is possible to be a global company without such waste."
