"I've worked for Oracle since 1998. With the most recent acquisition, it will have about 4X the number of employees that it did when I started. It has become a very big company and much of the old nimbleness that was common with dotcoms is gone. Also, management is borderline-religious when it comes to cost controls. The net effect is that it often takes months if not years to get projects completed. On the other hand, the benefits are AMAZING. The health plan would be considered CEO-caliber."
