"Old-fashioned management that is not able to adapt to constantly changing environment. No appetite for serving their clients in the best interest of the client. Lack of strategic goals and no room for professional development and growth. Company cannot hold up with current industry standards and therefore falls behind their competition. Mediocre management has no willingness to improve competitive advantage to be able to offer better services to their clients."

"Oppenheimer has been in the business of supplying aircraft manufacturers with control panels since the forties. To this day, they are one of the sole sources for control panels to companies like Boeing and Lockheed Martin. I would say the company is capable of producing really high-quality product, but they are really behind the times when it comes to IT support and file management. This is an issue that's mostly unique to engineering department. I can't say what it's like for the rest of the building."

"I've worked for Oppenheimer Funds for 8 years now, and for the majority of that time it has been a great experience. The technology group is a great bunch of people to work with, and the environment and compensation are outstanding. Unfortunately, recent changes to my group's job descriptions have soured things to the point that I'm looking for a change."

"Recent organizational changes have destroyed any job satisfaction that I previously enjoyed. My role is no longer customer focused nor am I empowered to do much of anything."

"Good company overall.. But requirements are ill defined - demands from developers is abstract and often unclear.A lot of bureacracy around getting software tools .. Takes a long time to get anything approved through to security."
