"Great people but upper management fails to meet goals."
What do you like about working at OneMedNet?
"My devs are awesome, talented individuals who work well with one another and don't need to be micro-managed. I'd hire them again in a second."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Honestly, I would suggest you reject any offfer they extend. The people are very nice, but the company is not doing well and things are trending worse instead of better. Also, the HR guy has the annoying habit of trying to re-assign the devs I manage to his tasks without consulting me. Last time I spoke to him about this, his response was, You're just developers. I'm an executive. You just need to do as you're told. He's a nice guy, but that really didn't sit well with me. Unless/until they clean house at the top, I would recommend you steer clear. Otherwise, I doubt they'll be in business much longer anyway if they don't do something soon."
What don't you like about working at OneMedNet?
"Though the CEO is very competent, those around him don't seem to know what they're doing. Marketing exec has not met a single sales goal since I started there. HR exec is stuck in the 20th century and tries to hard to micro-manage other people's teams."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"With the exception of the CEO, fire all the top execs and start fresh. They're really nice, friendly people, but they just haven't performed well and the company can't afford to maintain the status quo. At very least, replace the HR and marketing execs. Find an HR person who understands the AGILE model and a marketing person who can close a sale without letting the customer try it for free indefinitely. You have awesome devs working for you but that won't help you so long as you have incompetent people running the company at the top."
