"Great at first, employees working with are great at first... but human resources and management staff will start pestering you, obviously concerned with their "bottom line". Very short-term thinking. When I joined a couple years ago, was much better."
"Low pay, terrible clients."
"I would scan lease documents and handle rent checks/deposits/late notices with each customer. I had a better understanding of how the process worked when leasing out office building and or apartment complex to a tenant(s) as each individual person would come in and explain why they were there. Interacting with customers was enjoyable because they would come in and of course, I would strike up a conversation while waiting to be helped."
"I like to work with people hands on. So being the office assistant gave me the opportunity to work in all parts of the busy environment. I had an input in everything, I was able to work in a group or on my own, depending the project at hand at the time."
"I love brightening up people's day when I answered the phone, and actually working with my co-workers."
"What I love: easy, relaxing, not having to deal with customers, and was close to where I lived. What I hated: boring."
"I was able to help students continue their education. That is rewarding in itself. I enjoyed being a point of contact for incoming students. I did not like the repetitiveness of answering the same questions over and over; however, it was not that bad."
"It is hard in these days but the payment is not bad for a student."
