1.5I worked for Novitex after it had taken over for Pitney Bowes. I have been in the workforce for over thirty years and have to say that this was the worst place I have ever worked.
From jabs about my height from my manager who said that she was reluctant to hire me because I was a little guy and thought I was incapable (guess she didn't look at my resume and see my military experience) and then racist comments from the same manager. HR could have cared less. One of my managers was looking through my email and decided to forward one to himself. Last manager I had was repeatedly harassing me; wrote me up for calling out sick but didn't do that to others. I was having seizures at work (three times) and maybe Novitex was trying to get me to quit so they wouldn't have to pay some disability or there may have been racism going on too; either way, the place wasn't behaving ethically. They definitely played favorites there.
They didn't understand that annual reviews were supposed to be once a year apparently. At one point, I hadn't had a review in three years.
They squandered money on things that didn't work correctly but didn't give raises crying poverty. The managers don't really want to be there and talk bad about Novitex to the staff... but like the bonuses they get from Novitex.
Oh, they also want you to train people from India to eventually take your job, though they couldn't do the work correctly. Forget about being promoted to management also, they bring in people from the outside who have no clue to tell you what to do.
So, even though HR doesn't have the employees' back, people can definitely get some recourse by publicly shaming the company on the internet and maybe, someday, through the national media.
2.6I've worked at PBMS/Novitex for 7 years now as a programmer in Indianapolis; it used to be a good place to work with decent management, but PitneyBowes sold the PBMS Leg to an investment firm and started a new company called Novitex. The new management is not very good. After a year the company is still a mess and disorganized. Quality employees are jumping ship every day. They care about nothing but saving money at whatever expense.
3.7I have worked for Pitney Bowes Management Services (now dba Novitex) for 13 years. The company provides good services and business ethics to their customers throughout USA and Canada. The company employs over 500 employees now that have been acquired by Apollo Management since the Summer of 2013. Hopefully the new acquisition will encourage stronger profit growth in 2014. Still evaluating their business methodology.
