"I joined Novell assuming that the privately held corporation would give a different flavor to management from the previous publicly traded company which suffered from bad publicity generated from competing sales personnel. The original company failed to counter the rumor mill.The new company, still not knowing what to do, continues to abandon mature products and a loyal customer base to pursue new customers and new immature products. The result is the same old instability for employees."

"The Novell campus is a wonderful place to work, work/life balance is spectacular, healthcare is better than anywhere I've worked, it has an onsite gym, cafeteria, and plenty of grounds to enjoy a midday walk or run.Novell's challenge is to make a relevant profitable product, it's past is foundational to much of the tech industry today. It has some of the most experienced and brightest engineers I've met. Leadership seems to fail continuously in leading Novell out of it's slow demise."
