NorthShore University HealthSystem Employee

"I have worked for the Health System for over 20 years. The new administration in North Shore University Hospital is not one I would recommend. They no longer look at the employees as people but as numbers they can add or subtract."

What do you like about working at NorthShore University HealthSystem?

"I liked working with the first rate Neurologists. I learned a lot of new information from them."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The office manger is completely incompetant and is so bad they didnt even realize they were in way over there head half the time. Don't even think about working here unless your a new tech and don't mind being told to do things that make no sense. The manager is an idiot!!! and is too ignorant to realize they are!!!"

What don't you like about working at NorthShore University HealthSystem?

"Their entire organizational ladder is run by middle aged hispanics who allow their (unqualified managers) to get away with gender/nationality biased management practices. 3 caucausian males were fired over 6-month time; even though plenty of unprofessional things were being done by other certan minority females all the time. When we complained people got fired. I had zero right ups and was asked to resign after I made to much trouble for them over the unfair business practices they were allowing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Would have changed the whole way the END lab was run. Instead of hiring someone with tons of END experience, they brought in some person who didnt even know what most of our terminology meant. They didn't even know what our equipment did. This person had no formal management experience and was hired as a favor to since they had eliminated this person's other job upstairs. It was a total good ol boy run place. If you werent a specific gender or nationality you never had a chance."
