"When companies become too big, it is not easy for management or people at the higher echelon to make radical changes, so there is less flexibility in adapting to market(s) that are constantly fluctuating."

"Company is good but doesn't provide growth options, hard word is not rewarded, no attention on grooming interpersonal and technical skills. Cost Cutting and improper management is leading it into losses."

"No career growth, stagnant work, no training, compensation is not according to work quality but is according to years of experience."

"Middle layer is not having a view of bigger picture, they always keep fighting among themselves. Learn to work as a team so that ultimately company will get benifit. Also stop hiring your own candidates when they have no talent and urge to learn. Stop supporting people who only talk and don't do any work."

"It's an excellent, multi-cultural environment with nice people to work with. There are many opportunities to develop skills."

"Nokia is a great international company, although it is in a hard situation now. Show your skill to the interviewer and be straightforward."

"I dislike the bureaucracy, low efficiency, uncertainty, and non-competitive salary and benefits."

"Trust people whom you've selected. Make decisions transparent and fast, but do not change strategy frequently."

"I have enjoyed the company culture and being part of large commercial deployments. Seeing the final results (i.e. T-Mobile UMTS deployment) is always rewarding to be a part of."

"Current restructuring plans have deteriorated morale and made daily work difficult to complete."

"The current financial situation causes difficulties in a large company that's not always able to influence decisions impacting my work."

"Clear the table, stabilize organization and projects, and show that there will be continuation."

"I liked the working environment and social side of my co-workers. Nokia is/was a well-known and highly praised company which gave me pride."

"Read about Agile. Try to offer something more than standard C skills."

"Nokia has been, as identified in the press, sliding down the market. There is a very much old world philosophy still in place. Politics take precedence of actions. Recent recruits (at my site) are lacking ANY skills - even at Senior level."

"Speak to the ground floor programmers and tester. Your job isn't to please your boss - it's to please those you manage."

"Environment and support for trips, managing my own budget for trips."

"Intranet was very slow for data access at time. Office software release were out of date compared to customers."

"Time it has taken before you get refunded your trip allowances."
