"The pros and cons of a state agency - great benefits, not-so-great salary unless you are administration or tenured. A strong set of positive and collaborating colleagues, but the few bad apples who are continually lauded, promoted, and financially rewarded is sickening. It's no better or worse than any other state agency, depending on the people in your department. Expect all the problems of being in a customer service industry."
