"I worked for NCIRE for two years leaving in 2017 to attend medical school. I learned a lot through working with veterans and ZSFG Hospital patients. I was inspired by their stories of resilience in the face of adversity. The individuals that I interviewed all had chronic illnesses and were often caregivers for their family members despite their health conditions. My former employer cultivated an intellectually stimulating environment and made it easy to enjoy our work responsibilities. My colleagues and I worked well together and would often attend non-work related events collectively."
