"I have worked for National Life Group for the past year and have gained a lot of experience. My manager spent extra time to help me to grow professionally and the entire company echos this mindset."

"Happened in regional office located in Koreatown, Los Angeles, CA. Korean-style hierarchical culture with absolutely no ethics in employment practices. I had to say sir, or ma'am, when calling bosses and couldn't call boss by first name. I was in fact scolded for calling bosses by first name. I was attacked for being TOO AMERICAN. The company didn't pay me for several months, and when I asked to get paid, I was literally told, "It doesn't make to sense to pay you". When finally got paid, I was paid by manager's personal check. No employment contract. Misclassification of workers; that is, the company claimed that they never hired me. I was attacked for taking notes and asking questions. When I filed a wage claim against the company to claim my unpaid wages, my manager claimed that the paycheck was merely a "goodwill money" that in theory she didn't have to pay me at all. In fact, she wanted the paycheck back!"
