National Insurance Inspection Services Employee

"I worked as a reviewer for National Insurance Inspections in Fresno, CA. I found management there to be micro-managers. The pay isn't much when you consider the difficulty of the job. You are under constant pressure for production, even though much of your production is affected by the quality of the reports you review. Mandatory overtime is a constant. It appears you are also expected to be perfect, despite a labyrinth of procedures to wade through."

"This job is all about micromanagement. You are monitored constantly and considerable pressure is exerted for production, no matter the circumstances. Much of your life is dictated by the performance of independent field inspectors, many of whom don't do their jobs well. There is also constant mandatory overtime, so you don't have much opportunity for a personal life."

"If you like to be micromanaged, this is the job for you. There is far more emphasis on micromanaging employees than in improving the situations that create problems for employees. Standards for performance are set so high for some people they are almost impossible to achieve. Other people, the favored few, are judged on a totally different standard and they are offered as examples of what you should be able to achieve. Stress, low pay, negativity, sum up this job."
