National Academy of Sports Medicine Employee

"I've worked for NASM since June 2020. I have found the idea of the organization to be noble, however in my opinion the company places priority on making money over what's best for the customers. I have had to tell a single mother of 2 children, who had documentation of undergoing chemotherapy and an underlying immune deficiency that she can not return her program, in the middle of a global pandemic, because management doesn't see why she can't still complete it after the pandemic is over. I do not agree with the lack of empathy the company has shown towards its customers during unprecedented times, while simultaneously achieving record yearly sales. You need to get approval from management for nearly everything, however, management is hardly ever available yet still expects 1 call resolution. In my experience the company also has a tendency to promote based off of seniority rather than qualification and merit."
