What do you like about working at Myers Container?

"I enjoyed my work and the people I worked with on a daily basis. There were no layers of management so working closely with the executive group was very refreshing and rewarding. The challenges were many but the work was rewarding and the people were great."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Yes. Ask for everything in writing before accepting the job. I negotiated for two more weeks of vacation but didn't get it."

What don't you like about working at Myers Container?

"I didn't like the way operations were pushed to the brink by the executive team but let other departments off the hook even though their work performance directly affected our operational performance. I found this to be a little unfair."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Not so much for management as much as it would be for the executive committee: be fair in your dealings and expectations for all the departments. Don't push one to the breaking point but let another department skate by although ineffective and not meeting their goals."
