"I spent a year working with the MVCPA, where I entered at the lowest level but was promoted within a few months due to watchful upper management who noticed and appreciated my prior experience. The work itself is very standard for the world of theatre tech, but the quality of the work depended heavily on the client and their attitudes. The majority of the work was with clients who came from a similar theatrical background and understand how the system works. Some clients will make last minute requests that are impossible to fulfill. Overall, expect to meet a lot of fun and interesting people as long as you are willing to invest a little sweat into the work."
