"Excellent company to work in."
"Motorola Solutions is a good company, but they are simplifying themselves down to their core product of radio solutions and have sold off or eliminated most of their other products and divisions. They are preparing to sell and may soon be purchased by a large defense contractor. The company has been around a long time, but is slow to change, adapt, or improve. Managers tend to promote their friends, instead of conducting real searches for internal talent. There is also some prejudice against younger workers and women, as most leadership positions are filled by males 45 or older, regardless of ability or qualifications. Managers are also very detached, especially for remote workers. Weekly technical reports are generally ignored by management."
"Good place but working through contractor makes you poorly paid."
"It was not that great working for Microsoft."
"I started work at Motorola as intern in 2010 and have been here ever since. I gained a lot of experience in managing and working on service provider class networks."
"Relaxed working environment. Reasonable work pace."
"I have worked for this company about 2 years. The company's management doesn't know what direction they are driving the company into. Layoffs after layoffs, that's the experience my teammates and I had."
"Motorola Solutions has changed considerably due to a reorganization/restructuring effort aimed at unlocking shareholder value. While there are plenty of great people working there, this isn't a company that will create a new industry like the Motorola of old."
"I've worked with MSI since 2002 (contractor) and then switched to permanent in 2006. MSI is a very good company that I learned a lot from."
"Good initiatives on the technology front. Leading edge technology and good management."
