"They should allow for a virtual office."
"I can only speak for this branch, and after ten years I finally realized and felt that they were not very willing to compensate support positions adequately and in comparison to other brokerage firms in town. It could be a great place to be if you are a successful financial advisor."

"I loved the relationships that I developed with clients and felt like my co-workers were my family. I also appreciated the different types of people I was able to meet."

"I felt that I was unappreciated by management on both the local and regional levels. I brought many important issues to them in a very professional manner, and was treated as if they were unimportant. These issues included ethics issues and compensation issues."

"I know the structure of support-level employment has changed at this firm since I left, but I feel it would benefit them to pay support adequately and gain appreciation for the service they provide."

"Get along with the broker, branch manager, and ops manager you report to."

"Brokers are out of hand and get what they want, while sales assistants have minimum rights in the workplace."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Support and compensate sales assistants directly, so they are not at the mercy of brokers who think they own you for adding $1 per hour to your paycheck. Phones are out of control in offices and need to be answered automatically or provide sufficient backup - always a problem at our branch causing friction with workers not backing up brokers they do not even work for."
