"I was a contract worker for MSFT, therefore not an 'official' employee. Still, I was on site and it was an excellent place to work with great people."

What do you like about working at Microsoft?

"People were great, and middle management was very competent. The commute to and from Seattle was a bear sometimes, but if you carpooled or rode the bus, it was totally fine."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Plan for all day!"

What don't you like about working at Microsoft?

"My dislikes are: not working there for the most part, and the culture of turning over contractors and losing productivity, instead of hiring them on as staff."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They don't have the ability to hire on staff directly, due to wonky outdated practices."
