"I have worked for Microsoft GTSC for 4 months and resigned my job due to personal family medical problems to take care of a family dependent."
"I have been working with Microsoft Global delivery from past 6.2 years, I find the workplace very high standard and the technology around is great."
"I liked working here. The management was responsive to employee needs."
"Microsoft is a good company regarding pay and benefits. They say they value diversity in opinions, but if you express differing opinions you are labeled not a team player. It is hard to get a promotion these days, and higher level people are being pushed out to make room for more junior people with fresher ideas."
"Microsoft is a strong company that is driven to provide products in the internet space (devices, services). Although the environment, benefits, and pay are great, the culture is difficult. The review model changes regularly, but never changes. It is difficult to advance, and when you have advanced to a certain point you are eliminated."
"Microsoft is a good global company, but there is a lot of room to improve."
"I had worked with Microsoft for over 2.5 years. During this time frame, my work environment changed drastically. Upon 1st on-boarding, work expectations were clear. However, by the time that I left, my own management had a very difficult time giving any form of solid examples of what was required to be successful within our division. You could meet and exceed your goals, and you could still be reprimanded by upper management for not doing better, or even in some cases, for doing too good."
"Microsoft is an excellent place to work if you are a fulltime employee of the Microsoft Corp (FTE / Blue Badge). As a contractor it sucks, demoralizing and depressing. It's uncommon for a contractor to be converted to FTE even after several years of loyal service, and there's this constant reminder everywhere you look that all the cool percs that make working at Microsoft an awesome rewarding career and lifestyle are FTE ONLY!"
"Once we shipped our product... all us contractors were let go, in my opinion that was kind of messed up. Another thing was that to get the product out on time we worked overtime... A LOT of overtime, and was asked not to report all our hours. And to just take some comp-time, but that proved hard to do because we got let go after ship."
"Great place to work but the growth velocity is not good. The requirements to get to the senior level is not really something I want to do."
