QA Analyst

"I was a contractor and the QA department was outsourced, but it was a good place to work at."

QA Analyst
in Henderson, NV

"Negative experience."

What do you like about working at MGM Resorts?

"I liked the high salary and location. I liked the ability to have longer lunch breaks to accommodate out of office lunch at local casinos."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be aware that MGM management doesn't care about employees and their future in the company. You'll become less than a number, and they will dispose of you just like they did to the whole QA department. The $$ they saved will always be a priority over employees. Always have some backup plan, if possible."

What don't you like about working at MGM Resorts?

"I didn't like the director and manager of IT and QA. Their way of leading our department was way below industry standards. I didn't like the structure and cooperation of the development team with QA. There was too much paperwork and printing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"DO NOT outsource any parts of the IT department. The dollars saved will not justify the poor overall results causing major delays of projects, very poor quality of work and frustration of end users. Learn from mistakes of other casinos in the valley made by outsourcing their IT to India (Bally's)."
