"Most enthusiastic, motivating boss, who taught with passion."

What do you like about working at MetLife?

"The firm sponsored me while studying for and acquiring my series 7, 66, L&H and multiple other licenses. In addition, due to the Sr Partners' passion for what they did, it was the best learning experience in how to help clients, and the best way to get to what is on a client's mind. Time management and client management were the highest focus."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The only tip I have for others is to ensure that there is clarity on both sides (expectations of both parties)."

What don't you like about working at MetLife?

"Unfortunately while a full service brokerage firm, there was always an under-riding push to particular products."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If an employee comes on board with the desire and assurance of a particular focus, ensure those expectations are met."

What do you like about working at MetLife?

"Great products, income potential, benefits, freedom."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you don't have a second income from somewhere for those 1st 5 years while you are building your practice, the understanding that you have to do all of your marketing and that you don't get any help in that arena, you will fail."

What don't you like about working at MetLife?

"Strict FINRA regulations, old way of thinking, not really open to new marketing ideas, lack of marketing support, 100% commission, strict underwriting guidelines."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Instead of wasting time and money on recruiting, to spend that money on helping the agents that are already there grow their practice through marketing support. Also since it takes 5 years to develop a successful practice, offering a base would help, especially since we lose many clients to underwriting declining our cases. We work a lot of hours from the point of finding a prospect to actually closing a sale, and when we lose that account due to underwriting, all those hours were worked for free. I would ask management if they would work for free."
