"get your salary negotiations up front because raises and bonus structure are virtually non-existent. they tend to want top shelf talent at rail prices"

"horrible work/life balance, the norm was 45-50hrs/wk in the office and 24/7/365 on call with very frequent after hours work (you can count on at minimum 2 days a week working past 7-8p). career advancement is very limited as most people there are lifers"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hire more people and pay them appropriately. Everything can't be a forest fire, CEO needs to lead not be involved in day to day operations. IT Mgmt needs to learn how to say no occasionally"
