"horrible company. they discriminate against the elderly and anyone with a handicap"
"This review is concerning Mike Hilfiker, General Manager - Menards in Louisville, Kentucky. Numerous complaints have to be offered to management at Menards home office in Wisconsin regarding his inappropriate actions against employees and his rude behavior towards customers. He is demeaning to employees and often talks about his political affiliation to the far-right branch of the Republican party. Menards in Louisville has lost several assistant managers and a concerning percentage of workers under the reign of Hilfiker. If you go into our neighboring Lowe's or Home Depot and ask for former employees of Menards, you will hear stories about his leadership that begs the question of his ability to lead."
"The pros of working at Menards are that there are opportunities to move up, yearly bonuses, higher weekend pay, there is always a new project every day, and I have made long-life friends here! The cons are that the customers are not always the nicest to you and manager bias towards the employees. I would overall recommend it."
"I was referred to as a very hard worker and went above and beyond in customer service"
"Great company. The only con to the management positions, is the retail hours."
"I’ve worked for menards for 5 years now and it’s a horrible place to work. The team members and immediate managers are nice people for the most part, but everything and I mean EVERYTHING else is horrible."
"Menards is a fantastic place to work. professional relationships are easy to form and learning a new position can be accomplished relatively fast. With a variety of positions available, finding what you enjoy doing here is simple."
"I worked with Menards for 2 years. The employees were the glue, management was not so much. There was a lot of oversight that could make the quality of life better for employees with drive, but GMs were more concerned with rewarding those they felt would stick with the company forever."
"I have worked for Menards for almost 2 years. I have extensive experience in Law Enforcement and Health & Safety."
"I have worked for Menards for over 25 years. They treat you very well and like a family member at the store. Easy to transfer if you are moving or going to school with over 320 stores now open in 14 states."
"I've worked for Menards since I was 18 years old in the store stocking shelves and working in sales. One year before finishing my undergraduate degree I applied for an internship which resulted in a full-time position as a software developer after graduation. Menards always gives you plenty of opportunities to grow in your career while rewarding you each step of the way."
"I don't have a job now that's why I'm applying for this one."
"Good program but very poor pay"
"Good company with potential"
"Well managed company. Needs to update its technology to get with its competition. We still use paper and clipboards"
