"I worked for MediaFire for a couple of years. Overall, it was a good place to work. No one was just a number there. The owners took great care of all of us. Supervisors were fair and honest. However, you were expected to come in on weekends or stay late when they needed something done. Just a heads-up."

"Very good environment, and lots of extras, but financial instability and indecisive leadership gave caused some problems."

"MediaFire is a good company with a solid product. Unfortunately they are in a very competitive field and have difficulty leveraging the share of the market they desire. It has a good atmosphere with kind and understanding management."

"I worked for MediaFire for nearly two years. The directors frequently ignored input from many of their best employees. They changed the goals of projects before releasing, many times, making it quite difficult to accomplish your tasks. Instructions were to ignore or work around many glaring logic problems and bugs. After the products didn't garner as many customers and they'd hoped, they laid off half their staff."

"I worked at MediaFire more than a year. It was a pleasant environment, overall, with a cultural atmosphere of laid-back fun, and the work was varied and rewarding, having a real impact on the platform and products. However, management sometimes lacked transparency and consistency, lending to a broad undercurrent of vague frustration. This culminated when, after a year of steady hiring, they downsized half of us in January 2014 with no advance warning, citing a new direction for the company."

"I have worked for MediaFire since 2012 and have seen the company go through a lot of changes. We recently were laid off as things had not gone as management had seen them going. Overall the best part of the job at MediaFire was the environment and the people."

"I worked for MediaFire between 2012 and 2014. They had 70 employees before the big lay off which removed more than half of the employees. The layoff was caused by profits being way less than expected following the release of a new product. Management doesn't listen to their employees or customers. That being said, they did offer great benefits. The coworkers and work environment made the place a lot better to work at, and as a whole they made it a better company to work for than some others."

"MediaFire was my first job out of college, and it was a great place to work as a beginning job that offered competitive pay, and a great working environment. The staff was very nice and easy to get along with. The company just had to downsize though, and laid off about 30 people including myself, and pretty much had to go back to its root in Web development instead of the Desktop expansion which I was a part of. So aside from that, if you're a web developer, this would be a great place."
