"For the most part, the MBTA offers a stable work environment. There has been a limited number of layoffs. The benefits are better than most companies. The work is constantly changing to address problems as they occur. This makes it a challenging place to work. It's size provides resources that are not available at smaller companies. For example, having several departments makes obtaining information on a particular issues quicker. There are a number of different vehicles and locations."
