"I was offered a full time position as a software engineer at Mayan Capital in fall 2016. My experience was terrible as partners of the firm showed ultimate level of unprofessional behavior that I've ever experienced since last 12 years of my career. Mayan Capital made me work for two months with no pay. After 3 month they pulled out the offer saying they are unable to process my employment. Reason of NOT able to continue employment was two fold. 1. Funding for paying attorney fees and 2. sufficient proof of established business to US Gov, which is required for Visa transfer. In addition, they don't have any established process/HR, partners of the firm was basically fraud and doesn't give value to time/commitment. Even at the time of interview or scheduled meeting they are not available. I left 2 Job offers in NYC with 140K+ guaranteed package and agreed to join Mayan Capital with low pay package so I can help them to organize technology projects, it was pretty motivational decision for me but they were basically fraud and don't give value to their commitments. This is not the first time they did with me, I reached out few other individuals in Linkedin and they confirmed that they faced similar situation as Mayan had issue with Paying their employees and they had to find alternative too. Please try to avoid applying any Job opening at Mayan Capital, otherwise you will be in similar situation like us. They will try to make you work with few motivational talk and will not pay you.
