Laboratory Assistant

"People care only about themselves."

What do you like about working at Marypaul Laboratories?

"It pays the bills and even that's hard half the time."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Unless you have a degree or just want something that looks good on the resume, don't bother."

What don't you like about working at Marypaul Laboratories?

"No growth, no trust, nothing that makes me think I'm valued or even needed. I can be replaced way too easily. Oh, and I'm making only over 20000 a year, which is less than the smallest salary level on this site."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"It's not punishment to teach those that goof off how to do one part of my job. It's really not punishment when they don't have to do it, anyway."

What do you like about working at Marypaul Laboratories?

"It's the best pay I could find. Other than that, nothing."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Get your degree in biology or something along those lines first. Otherwise, you're not going anywhere unless you go elsewhere."

What don't you like about working at Marypaul Laboratories?

"Unless you have a degree, there's no moving forward, really. But you can't go to school to get a degree, either, because it's 8:30 to 5, Monday through Friday, so there's no time to. The people higher up than me (my age but with degrees) look down on our department and I feel like we're the workhorses.Bosses are inconsistent. One minute, they love you, the next, you're the biggest moron there. When there's need for scheduling, they happen to leave themselves off the work list. I had to make our own overtime schedule after hearing for the third time one would be make for us and I was told to leave our boss off the list."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Well, when I tell people they wouldn't have to work overtime, I would mean it. I wouldn't tell employees one thing, but have our handbook say another. And I wouldn't reward those that goof off with promotions just because they make me laugh."
