"Understand what they are looking for, and be patient it takes about three to four months for the final interview. This territory is very demanding and a lot of travel is involved."

What don't you like about working at Mars?

"Being by myself. I am the only one of my company in this area. I miss the team environment the camaraderie."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I can not think of anything that would help the functions of their position."

The supervisor confessed to me that they would not have time to train someone else. But these are personal views form them, does not necessarily reflects company's culture. "Speak with the individuals that work there, not at them. Find out what the real problems are, don't create them."

"Wonderful career opportutnies, I traveled alot in my job which I enjoyed (and was able to do), however, if you need a very balance life, this would not be the organization for that."

"It is a very difficult organization to get hired into, the process can be very long and taxing."

"Try to bring more life/work balance into the organization"

"Many challenges due to the size of the organization, never a dearth of duties"

"Apply elsewhere. Unless you are someone who does not believe that being 'empowered to make your own decisions iin an employment setting is a positive. This is very much a 'top down' organization, and the 'top' are not top of the line vis a vis management skills."

"A very low degree of professionalism in the senior management, focused solely on making numbers' each quarter and ignoring the longer term implications of decisions made. A great deal of micromanagement--and a fostering of 'competition' among staff, rather than team work."

"a) Look beyond the immediate and consider the mid-to-long term implications of decisionsb) If you are to hire professionals for specific duties based on their skill sets, it would be advisable to utilize their expertise in deciding policies for the companyc) A high turnover of staff, such as this company has, is indicative of some serious errors in leadership decisions"
