"Upper management was very rigid in dealing with professional employees. You were always expected to flexable and willing to give a little extra, but your personal needs were never taken into consideration. Promotions were based more on who you knew, than on your performance in your current job or ability to perform on the new position."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Treat employees like the professionals you expect them to be. ..Before you make a business decision, think about how it will effect everyone who has to impliment it. ..Learn how to communicate more effectively with your staff- this includes being able to accept feedback from them without retaliation."
