What do you like about working at Maersk?

"The chance to really improve the maintenance of the operations for this location, they had no preventive or predictive maintenance programs in place & had no software being utilized, I was very happy to change all that. In addition there was so much area of need & so much improvement in downtime & production output to be looked at as a challenge. The facility itself was in a state of much needed professional maintenance, my staff & I were glad to be of service."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"They have a global policy in place, it states that unless an associate leaves the company due to a family transfer to another country, there is no eligibility for rehire! So, beware of this very important factor as it is not mentioned until later in the management training."

What don't you like about working at Maersk?

"The is a distribution warehouse, so it is totally dependent on the customer having product to move through the building to make a profit, this means no matter how good a job maintenance or operations does, no product=no work=no employment."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They are making use of the suggestions right at this moment. They are attempting to become more flexible & less layered."
