"The company was not very good at selecting professional outside vendor partners, which often caused wasted effort and needless heroics to meet unrealistic deadlines."

"When dealing with marketing people forget about customer collaboration - you have to use contract negotiation. They will only deliver complete and accurate design requirements on time if you use both a carrot and a stick."
