Operations Coordinator

"I've worked in a one year contract position for Mackin Consultancy that was based in the Facebook Reality Labs division in Sausalito, CA. Although it was a bi-monthly check-in with Mackin as I worked directly more so with Facebook employees, there was always a great support system. This was my first job in tech as my background is in hospitality (in all departments within hotels and country clubs.) I learned so much within just the span of a year there. From collaborating with managers during multiple build outs, planning and executing all internal events to the routine onboarding and offboarding of employees. I would highly recommend using Mackin Consultancy should anyone wish to wear all the hats that someone in events and operations does."

Mackin Employee

"Terrible work environment; employees crammed into small cubicles. Excessive noise and gossiping. Some employees contribute to hostile work environment. One of the worst HR depts I've ever encountered -- incapable of handling employees issues effectively. Owners seem friendly and approachable but be careful --- employees are closely monitored. Administration should look carefully at some of their middle managers, who operate according to their own agendas. Company has helter-skelter procedures in place -- cannot keep up with workload. Starting salaries are far below national standards for work performed, and raises are minimal. Overall -- the company is out of space, cannot keep up with demands of customers, seems to encourage a hostile work environment to force people out, resents reasonable accommodation requests, and desperately needs to revamp procedures. Had I known all of this beforehand, I would not have accepted a position here."
