What do you like about working at Lone Star Industries?

"I like the fact that I was allowed to work both as a Programmer Analyst and a Systems Administrator. This is also where I gained much of SQL expertise. It was a pretty large company however our director, John Brenia took very good care of us and always provided us with the right tools to get the job done."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Yes, they are just as concerned with your personality and ability to get along with others as they are with your I.T. skills. Even though they are a large size company, they want the corporate office to like a family environment. This isn't to say that they'll hire someone with lesser skills. Though, if you and another candidate are equally qualified then they'll end up taking the one is more personable"

What don't you like about working at Lone Star Industries?

"Quite simple. The travel. It wasn't suppose to be as often I did it; However, when you become an expert on certain systems and server software, you will then be in high demand by the remote sites. I traveled more than 30% of the time while working for Lone Star Industries."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I do not have any at all. The management was on top of their game and I can easily state that they were one of the best teams I've ever played for."
