Submit a Review"I loved my staff, especially the newbies. They were full of life and really wanted to learn. I hated the operation, mandatory hours, short staffing, low pay, dysfunctional management team, worn products (vehicles), bias treatments toward women and married staff, extremely long hours, meaningless meetings, lack of accountability, cliques, veteran employees that get away with murder, trial managers with high rankings, the tenure ranking system, the low budget and outdated applications and tools used, the lack of knowledge from upper management, pressure to fire good employees for petty incidents, slap on the wrist of horrible employees, trashy cars to take home, mistreatment from management and customers to make a sale, no benefits, no bonus, lack of real structure."
What do you like about working at Hertz?
"Fast paced, challenges to solve problems and lots of people to meet."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Conitinue investing but look deeper and speak up to help change the culture that exists."
What don't you like about working at Hertz?
"This location has not trainging, no clear path to upward mobility and very cut throat amongst piers."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Implement a training program that works and create a clear path to advancement. Create a team culture rather than a me first culture."

"Responsible for all daily operations. Managed 30 full time union drivers."
What do you like about working at Ryder?
"No two days were alike. The support all three of my direct reports gave me was outstanding. Ryder was very safety conscious which resulted in great employee morale."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"They will be in for one of the best experiences in their careers. Just be yourself and be honest."
What don't you like about working at Ryder?
"There was a large number of weekly conference calls and reports to deal with. All are necessary, but some could have been cut down."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There is nothing that I could say that they are not already doing or have done."

"General managers had no respect for managers and required them to work at all hours of the week including Sundays"

"Have more respect for people and give them the opportunity of having a life"

"The job duties of managing contractors and a quality assurance team to ensure the terms of the contract had been met."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"This goes for any interview...you are interviewing them just as much as they are interviewing you."
What don't you like about working at MLU Services?
"The fact that there were no set job descriptions for any employee. At any given time, you could be asked to do something completely irregular to your daily work schedule (i.e. drive trucks to athens). I was moved to Athens to work for a trash service company owned by MLU. While in Athens I had to fight to keep high school kids out of the house where I was staying. They always showed up in groups to come get drunk and party putting me in responsibility as the only person of age in the house."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Put job descriptions in place for each postion you intend to hire and show them where they fit in an organizational chart. The Boss does too much micro-managing and likes to angry for little reasons. Treat all the employees (whether a QA or Upper Management) with respect and civility."

"the pay was pretty good. I was able to develop my own sales staff"

"Go, but don't take any time off."

"I got fired for having corrective surgery on my spine."
