"The best part about being a loan originator is when I have new prospect for the loan. The excitement part is when I have clients sign loan docs. This is where the satisfaction comes in. Signing loan docs is the last step before escrow close. I am happy because my clients are excited about moving into their new homes."

"Be upbeat and open about who you are. It is a very close-knit environment"
What don't you like about working at Home Finance of America?
"It can be difficult to collect all of the documents that the industry requires borrowers to provide, which is why having such a great support staff as this one is so great"

"More sales meetings could be a good idea; everyone enjoys voicing feedback and suggestions in those meetings"

"Be aware that company lacks proper leadership in operations and loans will take too long to close (6-8 weeks after initial application)."

"Lack of opportunity for advancement and inexperienced operation staff (including management)."

"Hire operations management and staff with a little more experience and/or ability to proper motivate staff to complete loan process quicker and more efficient."

"The ability to make an income that is better than most others."

"The limitations on my income due to the fact that all leads go through the top producer first."

"I was able to do my own thing and as long as I closed 4 loans a month I was not bothered."

"The management was never around, and the processor messed up 1 of my files and so I never let another processor touch another file of mine again."

"I liked being there at a young age in my life. I felt that Washington Mutual would be around forever."

"There wasn't really too much I didn't like. Maybe that the commission structure was a little low."
