"Job Security, steady income, working for the government, sense of national pride"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It is critical to come in as highly ranked as possible. It takes forever to move through the ranks once inside if you have anything other than a PHD. There's too many people hoarding their job, others are prevented from being allowed to succeed because of insecure management. Managers will attend training instead of their subordinates and treat it like a vacation... never learning anything."
What don't you like about working at LLNL?
"Some managers micro-manage you to death. If I'm successful in my duties, leave me be, I'm not going to do it the way you do... we're different."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would encourage more employee input without the risk of career suicide."
