What do you like about working at Limited Brands?

"Great company culture at the DM level and above....along with great brands really helped in the selling process...especially for the associates in the stores. I found most store managers to be hardworking and enthusiastic about the company more than any other retailers I have worked for."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Nuff said..."

What don't you like about working at Limited Brands?

"Unfortunately that culture did not reach down to the store level as it should at least in our region. There was more push given to the DMs in catching people doing things wrong or bombarding them with questions on store visits and calls. The Ops manual, LBOS, was used as a brick instead of a great teaching and coaching tool for what it was. Also too much emphasis on selling than on running a business for profit (i.e. managing controllables, labor, etc). The company had no P&L to manage at store or DM level."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Only 2. First, ensure that the great Limited culture (it biggest strength) finds its way down intact to the stores and associate level...keep regional and district managers accountable for that and secondly give the SM, DM and RM a P&L to manage so they are accountable for the whole business and not just Sales."
