"This place is a joke. Upper management has no knowledge of hospice what so ever, this company admits everyone even if there not appropriate (I'm surprised they haven't been shut down yet for unethical practices), Upper management does not care about employees, especially social work discipline, and has no diversity in leadership have seen first-hand discrimination of colored patients and how horrible they are treated including black staff members, no bonus, incentives, or raises, this company is cheap they informed staff they don't support respite and were not able to use them with caregiver burnout. Very unorganized, favoritism, toxic office environment, if you advocate for your pts corporate will talk down to you belittle you and disrespect you. I would not make any referrals to this place for a loved one. Run fast do not apply to the Richfield office in akron ohio. I'm sure they will be closed within 6 months. I feel bad for the staff and how there being treated there. This place is mentally and physically draining, very high turnover rate it's so bad that literally you have employees leaving every couple of week and they can't keep anyone that starts because they end up quitting after two weeks. Again do not apply here run for the hills they will put your license in jeopardy and not even care. I was embarrassed walking into facilities knowing This is the company I work for LHC Group has a bad reputation in all facilities everyone hates them."
"As an employee who just left this company, let me say this. Employees that are not in management get treated poorly. Office managers are unapproachable, rude, and do not care about anyone but the managers. Not even the field staff. Alot of drama, talking behind backs of other employees. HR does not help, they are all about management and not wanting to fix internal issues."
"For anyone looking to make a difference in healthcare, don’t do it here. They are greed and profit over patients and employees."
"Great place to work and gain experience"
"Not a bad company to work for. Very rewarding helping those in need. The corporate office could do a better job supporting field branches and operational leaders. Very unorganized and unprofessional area leadership and divisional leadership."
"I don’t work for this company and not wanting to do a review. Will not let me go back... enjoy I guess"
"Good opportunity to learn and develop your skillset."
"I worked at the home office for 2 years and can easily say it was the worst experience of my professional career. Morale is very low, there is no employee culture, and most departments are stretched very thin. The environment is so political - I've never seen anything like it. The top 2 leaders in the company both have multiple children and family members who work there - and surprise, surprise - they each have quickly risen in the ranks, or have been put in positions that they are not remotely qualified to hold. This place is a disaster."
"In my 3 years at LHC, I have found the leadership to be impulsive, retaliatory, low-functioning and champions of nepotism. Employees are treated not as valued members of a team, but as disposable batteries to be discarded once drained. There is zero emphasis on employee well-being or patient care. LHC Group is an hostile, poorly managed acquisition firm disguised as a healthcare company. I wouldn't wish working here on my worst enemy."
"Heartlite hospice in Dalton GA is a member of LHC group. This office is being held together by the staff that work hard and care about the patients. But all staff are looking for other jobs because the administrator of this office is lazy and knows nothing about hospice or leadership. This administrator is ruining a wonderful team. She is rude, unprofessional, and not a team player. She thinks she is above doing any actual work and treats some staff like servants."
